Improving Performance of Turbocharged CNG Engine
Janoušek, Michal ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of diploma thesis is the design of fuel system for the Caterpillar twelve cylinder spark ignited turbocharged engine. The fuel system is designed for sequential electronic controlled gas injection into intake manifold. Computational model of the engine was calculated in Lotus Engine simulation software. CFD analysis of mixing CNG with air was computed in Star CCM+ software.
Electrical models of recuperative loads for electrical railway traction system feeder 25 kV, 50 Hz
Bureš, Jan ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Klusáček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the modeling of drive vehicles from the point of power consumption and its quality that are being run in the Czech republic on the 25 kV/50 Hz current system. The locomotives being run on Czech territory are categorized according to their electric equipment and typical consumption quality, with respect to the historical evolution. The models of individual categories were created with the help of PSCAD simulation software. A system of control and power parametrization of models was also designed, based on the outer description, i. e. parameters of locomotives, line profile and the driving dynamics. Thus, the designed models are suitable for the simulation of energy flow profile in the traction system as a whole.
Model of Electric Direct Current Locomotive
Januška, Adam ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
In this bachelors thesis you can find two ways of controlling direct-current traction motors in locomotives. The main power circuits of two locomotives, which have different motor speed control, are described in this work. The first type of control is the resistors switching control, which is simulated on the E 499.2 locomotiv series (150 series). This controling is compared to thyristor circuit control used in E 499.3 (163) locomotiv series. The simulation is made in the Simulink environment, which is the extension of the Matlab program.
Design of Electric Locomotive
Chropovský, Jiří ; Tvarůžek, Martin (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The topic of this master’s thesis is design of electric locomotive, more specifically universal independent machine made for pull of personal trains and industrial trains as well. The main aim of this design is to create compact design which follows current estetical trends and fulfill technical and ergonomic needs.
Design of rail vehicle sanding systems
Balounová, Hana ; Šperka, Petr (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with creating an overview of sanding systems, which are available on the marketplace in terms of their construction. Sanding devices are used in rail transport to incerase the adhesion during braking and moving off in bad weather condition. The thesis inculdes findings of testing influences of construction on the quality of sanding, list of companies producing sanders and their products and defining the future development trends.
Auxiliary inverters for electric traction
Polášek, Petr ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This thesis concerns with specified problems of an electric traction. It deals with the concept of module controlling EC motor of the voltage 24V and the current 100A. There are described possibilities and principles of controlling EC motor in detail. For controlling, the single-purpose IO MC33035, which is directly specified for it, is used. The thesis describes implementation of both testing and final versions of converter for a circulating pump drive of a cooling circuit in locomotives. The convertor is partly universal and can be used in other applications. According to the implemented convertor, a laboratory test and a model protocol were made. In the second part, the concept is described as well as the implementation of DC/DC conventor of output voltage of 24V and which is supplied by 12V battery. The specified output current is 4A. It is used for supplying of the controlling traction vehicle unit and is installed as a boost convertor which contains a resonance conventor. The presentation of measured parameters of the complete convertor is either a part of this thesis.
Locomotive control module
Šrámek, Jiří ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Baštán, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with development of control module for a train model for STARMON’s demonstrator of train safety systems. It fully describes the connection design of diagrams, structure of firmware and solution of the communication protocol. It deals also with system identification and regulator design, including speed ramps. The end of this thesis describes user interface and structure of control applications, which are available for PC and Android.
